It buffs the human forms strongest skills. With this role in mind, I introduce the first possible trinket. In human form and the front row, the Abomination is great for dishing out stuns but becomes a target for enemy stuns. The Abomination, like a coin, has two sides, and each has a different play style that benefits from a different trinket. However, Gamers Decide already has articles on building team compositions, so I will cover the ideal trinkets for each class instead. However, the Darkest Dungeon can easily consume your party without a thorough understanding of optimising each class for each level. I regret using this DLC.Darkest Dungeon features an incredibly diverse hero roster, and each can be customised with various move sets. Tl dr - if I could go back and play this game again without the Musketeer enabled, I would. So my L6 Musketeer is invisible to the achievement system, and the fact that I never recruited a (duplicate) Arbalest is now hurting me. Just by enabling the DLC, she adds one more class & many more trinkets into the random pool, so you are less likely to obtain the match that you're looking for all game long.Īlso, I'm now at the end of my run and all of my characters are maxed, but I was not awarded the achievement for recruiting all heroes / leveling all heroes to L6 / completing all caretaker goals because apparently the game doesn't count Musketeers. Mind you, the Musketeer's Color of Madness trinket is actually worse than the Arabalest's version of the trinket, so I'm not sure why you'd want to use the Musketeer anyway. So in order to solve that problem, I had to download a mod that allows Arbalest trinkets to be equipped on Musketeers and vice-versa, but this still isn't a perfect fix because the mod doesn't appear to work with DLC trinkets. So I was able to recruit a Musketeer early in my run, and then a couple weeks later when the Arbalest trinket that awards +33% healing showed up as a mission reward, I was not able to use & equip it. And in fact, the problem is that the Arbalest's trinkets are not compatible with the Musketeer. The DLC is very poorly implemented.įirst off, the Musketeer is essentially a reskin of the existing Arbalest class, so it's not like you're gaining access to new moves with the Musketeer. I am just finishing up my first playthrough with the Musketeer DLC enabled, and honestly I do NOT recommend it.
